During the Core Mat I course you will learn to teach the 18 beginner level mat exercises and be introduced to Power Pilates teaching tools, philosophy, and teaching formula. Every student new to Power Pilates must start with Core Mat I.

This course focuses on teaching you how to teach the beginner exercises. The e-learning system will first ensure that you know each exercise, and then will focus on providing you the knowledge and tools needed to teach them properly.

Introduction to the Beginner Pilates Mat exercises following Power Pilates Classical order. A strong foundation in your own practice is an important step in learning how to teach.

Power Pilates Philosophy of Teaching

Learn what it means to teach Power Pilates Classical Pilates. Take the first steps toward building your fan base by developing your elevator pitch.

Power Pilates Fundamentals

Learn fundamental concepts, their origin and how they have developed over the years. Explore what the Powerhouse is and which exercises encompass the Breathing exercises.

Teaching Components

Learn the tools, teaching components, and formula that prepare Power Pilates teachers to effectively guide their clients movements.

Power Pilates Teaching Formula - Technique

Now that you know the exercises and history it's time to focus on what words to use to tell your client how to move.

Power Pilates Teaching Formula - TFC

Guide your client through a continuous set of movements. Set a rhythm in your voice to enhance the pace of the exercises and motivate your clients by changing how you modulating the tone of your voice.

Teacher Practice and Final Evaluation

Congratulations you have completed and passed the first 6 modules. You are almost done, you just have your teaching practice sessions and practical evaluations left. You may register for up to 10 teaching practice sessions, conducted via live video conference with a Teacher Trainer.

Length of Program

Pursue your Pilates instructor training at your own pace. The flexible online format allows you to complete the course according to your schedule.

Teaching Practice & Final Evaluation

Module 7 includes up to 10 teaching practice sessions to prepare you for your final evaluation. Complete your practical evaluation through two convenient methods, via video conference or upload.

Important: The 10 teaching practice sessions and video conferencing are currently only available in the English version of the Academy.

Upon Successful Course Completion

You will receive an internationally recognized assessment-based certification
You will be recognized as a Beginner Mat Pilates Teacher
You will have taken the first step in becoming a Comprehensively certified Pilates Instructor
