ACCELERATED COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING

The Comprehensive Intensive covers the same material as our traditional Comprehensive program but in an accelerated, immersive format. This program covers beginner, intermediate and advanced levels utilizing all Pilates apparatus - Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and Magic Circle - as well as understanding how to work with Special Case clients. The entire curriculum is delivered through two intensive levels with self-study periods between sessions, making it ideal for those who prefer concentrated learning or have scheduling constraints with weekend formats.

Comprehensive Intensive Program Structure

The Comprehensive Intensive is divided into two levels, each consisting of intensive lecture days followed by self-study periods and evaluation sessions. This format allows students to deeply immerse themselves in the material while having time to practice and integrate their learning between sessions.


LEVEL 1: BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE SYSTEMS

PRE-REQUISITES
Attend a minimum of 25 apparatus sessions - ideally with a classically trained instructor
Complete the Power Pilates Core Mat I & Core Mat II trainings
Have a basic knowledge of anatomy as it pertains to movement

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
36 hours of intensive lecture covering Beginner and Intermediate Systems
2 months of self-study period including:
    - Homework assignments
    - Practice hours with fellow students
    - Observation of certified instructors
    - Personal practice sessions
18 hours of teaching practice, review and examination
6 hours of apprentice meetings


OBJECTIVES
Master the beginner and intermediate system exercises on all apparatus
Understand and apply the teaching formulas for each level
Demonstrate proper safety protocols and modifications
Develop observation and cueing skills
Build confidence in teaching individual sessions

LENGTH OF LEVEL 1
3 months total including intensive days, self-study, and evaluation

LEVEL 2: INTERMEDIATE, SPECIAL CASES & ADVANCED SYSTEMS

PRE-REQUISITES
Successful completion of Level 1
Demonstrated proficiency in beginner and intermediate systems
Completion of all Level 1 homework and practice requirements

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
36 hours of intensive lecture covering:
    - Advanced intermediate exercises
    - Special Case populations
    - Advanced system exercises
2 months of self-study period including:
    - Advanced homework assignments
    - Multi-level teaching practice
    - Special case studies
18 hours of teaching practice, review and final examination
6 hours of apprentice meetings


OBJECTIVES
Master advanced system exercises on all apparatus
Teach clients at different levels simultaneously
Work effectively with Special Case populations
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of progressions
Apply Pilates philosophy and anatomy knowledge
